Happy Days

No doubt there are more beautiful places on earth, but on days like this, with company like this, I can’t think of any.

Private viewing

Took the dogs up for a walk in Balrath Woods a week or so ago. It was about 5pm on a Sunday afternoon and normally there’d be a good few people wandering around there. Not this time. Just Mimi, Pippa and Rosa. And me. And the trees.

Autumn has landed

We get a lot of fog and heavy mist out in Meath. Sometimes you can’t see 10 feet in front of you. And it can seem like the whole country is in the soup, but then you drive out of it on the approach to the M50 and it’s all clear. Here’s a few shots…

The white, white grass of home

I love living in Meath, with the countryside all around me. Yes. There are considerable advantages to living close to work, but none that outweigh the opportunity to walk five minutes from home and be completely alone with miles of empty fields to wander. Doggie holiday

Last weekend (August bank holiday) we managed to get down to Clogherhead for the first time in nearly two months. We gorged on lovely long beach walks. The weather was a mixed lot, but there were plenty of nice bits and the three woof’n’ears had a brilliant time.

Enchanted forest

We’ve had a few lovely walks in Balrath Woods over the holidays. It’s been chilly, but beautiful.

Playground

A couple of shots taken yesterday. A birthday walk in the winter woods with Mimi and Pippa.

Simple pleasures

It’s a dog’s life

A few shots of Mimi and Pippa on the beach, saturday evening, September 27th 2014.

Sun setting on the summer

On the beach on saturday night (Sept 20th). The days are much shorter now – these shots were taken around 7.30pm. It was an amazing, indian summer weekend. Hopefully the good weather will stick around for a while longer, even if the light has faded.

In the long Grass

We got in a quick walk last night, just as it was getting dark. The dogs had a great time, running around, chasing each other, smelling smells and splashing in puddles.

Walkies

Happy dogs, out and about. Along with photography, walking the dogs is one of my favourite reasons to get out in the fresh air. Mimi and Pippa don’t care what the weather’s like and they don’t care where we are – it’s always a good time for a walk. As it turned out, the weather…
