I always look forward to Easter. It’s the first chance we get every year to spend some time at the beach. This year, it was absolutely freezing and at times, stormier than Donald Trump’s mistress. Here’s how it looked, over the course of 5 days.

Doggie holiday
Last weekend (August bank holiday) we managed to get down to Clogherhead for the first time in nearly two months. We gorged on lovely long beach walks. The weather was a mixed lot, but there were plenty of nice bits and the three woof’n’ears had a brilliant time.
Lovely beach evenings
You can’t beat a sunset walk on the beach. Generally, you get the whole place to yourself. You’re getting exercise and fresh air, there’s a soothing soundtrack of gently lapping waves, the dogs are having the craic – and of course, there’s a pretty spectacular 360 degree view. After dark
I headed down to the beach after dark and set up the camera by the water’s edge. The tide came in quickly and I was about knee deep in the sea by the last of these shots. They were taken with a 20mm f2.8 lens on a Canon 6D and 30 second exposures.
