Elusive sunset

Last tuesday evening, I was sitting in the kitchen at about 9.15pm when I noticed that the garden was pink. Moving closer to the window, I could see the incredible sky that was casting the warm tones. I thought to myself what a shame it was I hadn’t gone out with my camera earlier. Then I thought – feck it – I’ll grab it now and run out to the road and take a couple of snaps anyhow. The sun was going down quickly. I hopped over the garden wall and out to the roundabout on the other side, took a couple of shots there and then headed up the road as quickly as I could walk, aiming to catch the sunset over the fields. I didn’t get there in time, but I got some half-decent shots anyhow, using my iPhone (with the EOS app) as a remote and some fence posts as a tripod.
